The Research Unit MikroSim will develop a simulation model on personal and household level that will enable a reliable prognosis of societal and infrastructural developments in Germany. This microsimulation model will incorporate detailed information on a regional level. Once the model has been built, first applications will focus on the demand for care (be it home care or outpatient care) and the integration of immigrants into the German labour market.
